A floating model of 17th century London was set alight on the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London, on Sunday evening.

The 120 metre long wooden replica, designed by David Best, floated down the River Thames in central London before the matches were lit.

London 1666, named after the year of the fire, depicted the skyline of the 436 acres of the English capital that were destroyed by the inferno.
